More details on Wills and Kate's weekend date

The Sun has published more details of Prince William and Kate Middleton's low-key weekend date in London.

The pair grabbed a bite at Tom's Kitchen in Chelsea, where paparazzi caught them leaving the restaurant after their meal.

The Sun article adds, "And later they watched the movie The Young Victoria about Wills’s great great great great grandmother."

The movie, which is a celebration of royal love, was co-produced by William's former aunt, Sarah, Duchess of York, and features a cameo appearance by his cousin, Princess Beatrice of York.

Okay, I know it's the Daily Mail, BUT they are reporting that France’s leading society magazine, Point De Vue, is claiming that Prince William and Kate WILL be getting married this summer. An engagement announcement is imminent they say.

Well, we'll just have to see if this is true. I believe this is the same magazine that reported that Prince Albert and his girlfriend of many years were also going to announce their engagement 'imminently', but nothing ever came of it.

I'm still holding out hope for a 2009 British Royal Wedding.

I'd just stopped over here to post that story, Annie -- great minds and all. ;) I'd love it if it were true, but I don't really know how reliable this particular story would be, even if PdV is fairly dependable. I'm not sure why they would know, but the British press would be totally in the dark...

That said, a royal wedding certainly would be quite the pick-me-up in the current world climate! :)

Actually Annie

A few people have confused Point De Vue with Gala magazine who were the actual publication who made the statement about Prince Albert of Monaco and Charlene's imminent nuptials only for nothing to come of it.

I'm not 100% sure what I think of this any more. Apparently there were a lot of mistakes in the article but they are supposed to be a well respected publication so who knows... There are only 3 weeks left in March so time will tell I guess
